[Solved] How do I Manage Gift Aid?
How do I Manage Gift Aid?
You can mark each Member who is registered for Gift Aid, then use the Gift Aid Report to produce an HMRC Gift Aid Donation Schedule (UK customers only).
Edit Members
Mark your members as registered for Gift Aid by editing the Other Member Details box (see below).
If the member is under 18, enter parent or guardian details on the Other/Alt Contact 1 tab (note this has been renamed to Parent/Guardian Contacts in the screenshot below).

Identifying Gift Aid Members
You can quickly identify members registered for Gift Aid from the Members page — select the Member List, then the Member Gift Aid View in the report table. You can edit the member details directly in this report view.

Identifying Gift Aid Transactions
You can also indicate which Cost Codes are eligible for Gift Aid, and so manage which Receipt transaction lines appear in the report.
Navigate to Setup > Cost Codes, open each eligible Cost Code record, tick the Gift Aid checkbox, then save your changes. You can also tick a Parent Code to include every Cost Code within its branch; individual Cost Codes can then be selected or unselected as required.

In the Gift Aid Report, if you select Only include Cost Codes marked as eligible for Gift Aid, an individual Receipt line will only appear on the report if it is:
- within the selected Date Range
- associated with a Member marked as having made a Gift Aid declaration
- charged to a Cost Code marked as eligible for Gift Aid
Gift Aid Report
The Gift Aid Report (Membership > Membership Reports) lets you select a date range and complete the HMRC Gift Aid Donation Schedule (UK customers only). Full instructions are included.
The report pulls the Other/Alt Contact 1 details (name and address) if the member is under 18, based on their date of birth and Date From date.

Recording Supplementary Gift Aid Details
If you need to record additional Gift Aid details for your members (for example, request status), we recommend using Extended Member Details > Custom Details to create custom fields. You can also report on these in the Member Report.
Note that you will still need to set the Gift Aid flag on the main Member tab.
