In this scenario, your organisation uses Zettle to receive payments from your members. The Zettle system charges a transaction fee which reduces the net receipt to your organisation.

Example: Bar Receipts

Gross Receipts   Payment Card Fee Net Receipts
Bar Receipts  £100.00 £3.00 £97.00

To account for this in Clubtreasurer, we recommend creating a separate "Zettle" Account and record the Gross Receipts (income) and Payment Card Fee (expense) as separate lines in a Receipt/Payment batch against the Zettle Account.  The batch net amount (Net Receipts) will update your Zettle Account cash balance which you can then transfer to your Bank account when you do your banking (record this as an Account Transfer).

Pro-Tip: You can also use the Import Transactions feature to load your transactions directly from your online payment system. Please see this tutorial which shows you how to import the Gross Receipts and Expense Fees: https://clubtreasurer.com/blog/transaction-import/#paymentSystem
