Recoding Members Attendance at Events
Looking at whether to use the membership module. Can I use it to record bookings and subsequent attendance at events, all of which are set up in the financial section, some of which have deposit payments and some not. Need to be able to print & review attendance at each event and also print and review attendances by individual member

You can easily achieve this by setting up (One-Time) Membership records to represent your Events. Financial Events and Memberships are separate entities in Clubtreasurer, however you can define Accounting rules in the Membership record to always use the financial Event when recording a Member payment or deposit.
Once setup you can then manually (or mass) assign the Membership(s) to your Members to as they sign up for the event. The will also create a balance due against their records allowing you to track which Members signed up and who has paid up or not.
